With a passion for creating a truly enjoyable playing experience, Tom Fortuna, has been Knollwood Country Club’s Head Golf Professional for eight years. A PGA member for 35 years, Tom began his career as an Assistant Golf Professional at Oakland Hills Country Club, before spending 22 years as Head Golf Professional at Wabeek Country Club. As a native of the Bloomfield area, he attended Brother Rice High School and went on to Oklahoma State and Bowling Green Universities on a golf scholarship. His accomplishments include Michigan Assistant Professional Champion, Pro-Assistant Champion, Senior-Junior Champion, Michigan Senior PGA Champion, and 10-time participant in the National Club Professional Championship and final stage qualifier for the Champions’ Tour.

Jeff Gniewek

Jeff Gniewek has been Knollwood Country Club’s Assistant Golf Professional for 7 years. A PGA professional for 23 years and a native of Michigan, Jeff has worked at some of the region’s finest private clubs, including Travis Pointe Country Club, Barton Hills Country Club, Grosse Ile Golf and Country Club, Arbor Hills Country Club, and Prestwick Village Golf Club. A skilled player, his accomplishments include Michigan Match Play Championship, three-time winner of the Chapter Championships, two-time winner of the Chapter Player of the Year award, and f our-time winner of the 2-Man Team Championship. Jeff has participated in the National Club Professional Championships seven times, and also played in the 2001 PGA Tour Event – Buick Open.

An associate at Knollwood since 2010, Chris Zito accomplished his goal to become a Class A PGA Professional in 2014, and enjoys his work with the members and guests at Knollwood Country Club. Born and raised in Troy, Michigan, he earned an Associate’s Degree in Psychology and Golf- Focused Small Business Management at the Golf Academy of America in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Exhilarated by the excitement of tournament play, Chris was a two-time winner of his school’s Match Play Championship and, in 2012, qualified for the Michigan Open.
